Product Leader — AI, Autonomy, & Geospatial Platforms
For almost two decades, I’ve been building platforms for humans and AI to move through the world. to accomplish a task using sensors, spatial data, and cloud-based infrastructure. I’ve progressively moved closer to the edge and deeper into the stack but I started as a designer.
Realtime logistics, marketplaces, distributed platforms. Early at Postmates, I internationalized the product, automated ops/CS, built the developer platform, then a B2B business on top that reached ~30% of company value at acquisition, with Apple/Walmart as anchor partners.
Edge autonomy, accelerated computing, vertical integration. At Serve Robotics I turned robots into a business. We hey Joseph how are you doing I'm doing great glad for glad we could connect yeah sounds goodintegrated with Uber, unlocked a multi‑thousand‑unit PO, and expanded to dozens of markets. That meant forcing hard trade‑offs: power budgets, thermals, sidewalk‑level localization, cellular/GNSS fragility, and resilient C2.
GPS‑denied navigation, electronic warfare, sensor fusion. At Pendulum I led a DoD‑funded program to localize in contested EW environments using real‑time sensor fusion; we took it to the field at White Sands.
Vertical infrastructure, geospatial data fusion, robots, spatial compute. At Anduril I run product for a geospatial platform that underpins 30+ products across 7–8 divisions—navigation, mapping, mixed reality, simulation—representing ~$2B in forward contracts. I introduced a eng/data/ops backbone that cut issue rate 40% and trimmed $3M in data costs.

Anduril Industries
Principal Product Manager
December 2024 - Current
Product lead for a vertically integrated geospatial platform for AI navigation, mapping, simulation, and VR across 30+ products; scope tied to ~$2B in active and forward contracts.
Defined the AI-native fused earth model (satellite + elevation + terrain) and a synthetic data workflow to accelerate autonomy.
Drove an edge-first architecture for GPS-denied operations in Ghost, Bolt, Altius, Anvil.
Designed multi-hop compression (Internet → Cloud → Edge-Cloud → Edge) to move from petabytes to GB-scale on asset.
Negotiated and integrated high-value data products (e.g., Maxar, Blackshark.ai, Vantor, TCarta) and instituted licensing governance → $3M savings.
Introduced a metrics-driven engineering ops framework driving down support request by 40%.
Pendulum Navigate
Applied Product Research
April 2024 - September 2024 (contract)
DoD-funded, GPS-denied geolocation using edge neural networks and real-time sensor fusion.
Advanced from TRL 5→7 with field demos at White Sands (NavFest); co-authored APFIT with PEO Soldier/AFWERX.
Prototyped adaptive ML across smartphones, wearables, UAVs; designed eval metrics & field-data loops.
Serve Robotics
Director of Product Management
March 2021 - November 2022
Commercialized L4 sidewalk autonomy; built product + GTM while hardening the autonomy stack for scale.
Integrated with Uber; unlocked PO for 2,000+ robots; scaled to ~55 U.S. markets.
Shipped the partner/API surface, C2 operating system, and GPS-degraded indoor localization (sensor fusion, CV, Wi-Fi signals of opportunity).
Drove roadmap across Autonomy, Navigation, Mapping, Hardware, and Ops with field-data-to-requirements loop.
Postmates
